Performances and Events

We know that performance opportunities are a great way of building confidence and self-efficacy in young people as well as developing the transferable skills required for a performance e.g. preparation, time management, dealing with anticipation, prioritising, discipline, hard work and collaboration.

We provide the young people on our projects with as many performances opportunities as possible. We do this either by putting on our own sharing performances or linking in with other regional events. We hold an annual “Young People’s Gathering” each year which is a day for all the young people involved in Musinc projects and partner projects to come together and share performances with each other as well as taking part in a carousel of music workshops.

Our 2020 annual gathering was unfortunately unable to take place due to COVID-19, but we do plan to run one at some point in 2021.

Make Music Day 2021

On 21st June 2021, we celebrated worldwide Make Music Day with performances from both young people and adults around the Tees Valley in a virtual event. You can view the performances and read more on this page.
