This August, Benedict is our Young Musician of the Month!
This month, we’re pleased to feature Benedict McGreary as our Young Musician of the Month.
Benedict attends our weekly Bandjam sessions at Middlesbrough Town Hall, and plays keyboard as well as a bit of singing.
Bandjam music leaders, Christina, Jen and Chris shared their thoughts:
The Bandjam music leaders are delighted to nominate Benedict for Musician of the Month! Benedict has consistently attended Bandjam each week for the past several terms (apart from when he broke his arm!), is an integral part of the band, consistently offers good ideas, and is supportive of the other young people in the group. Benedict is a hard worker, always coming prepared with his parts each week, and staying focused and practicing throughout each session. Benedict always walks through the door with a smile on his face, is courteous and enthusiastic, and is a joy to work with!
When Benedict heard he had been nominated, he said:
Thank you to Musinc for nominating me for Musician of the Month. I’ve loved every minute of Bandjam. I’ve made friends along the way and had fun playing and making music. It’s hard when you’re the youngest, trying to keep up with older musicians, so I feel very proud and honoured!
