Schools Programme
Events
We have an amazing offer of events for schools – designed to bring young people to Middlesbrough Town Hall to experience live music!
For primary schools we have our Classical Café for Schools concert series – showcasing orchestral instruments across many genres of music, performed live by local professional musicians. These concerts are also designed to support your young people’s learning, with the national curriculum in mind. We also host our own annual Big Gig: Rockin’ Christmas, a magical sing along gig performed by a live band with loads of musical games.
For secondary schools we have our Set Works Concert, where pieces of music from the GCSE and A Level syllabuses are performed by our live orchestra, and our Careers Panel and discussion, highlighting the exciting and wide ranging careers across the music industry, here in the Tees Valley.
Our schools events are also open to home educating families; please follow the booking process below.

Partner projects
We work with a number of partner organisations to provide music making activities to young people who are facing barriers. The projects we deliver focus on using music as a tool for supporting young people’s personal, social and emotional development – bringing the benefits of music making to every person.
