Middlesbrough Town Hall Performing Arts

Saturdays during term time, Middlesbrough Town Hall
Middlesbrough Town Hall Performing Arts provides quality training in dance, voice work, singing and acting for 6–14-year-olds.
The sessions aim to build confidence, ensemble, and performance skills, encouraging students to get involved and try new things whilst meeting peers who share the same interests. We offer a range of performance opportunities for our MTH Performing Arts students to perform in showcases for their friends and family at Middlesbrough Town Hall, as well as other parades, events, and celebrations across Middlesbrough.
We have two groups for our students – Sparkle and Shine.
Sparkle is designed for young people who are newer to Performing Arts. It is a smaller sized group, for young people to really develop their skills in dance, singing and acting.
Shine is designed for young people who have more experience and a good foundation of skills in dance, singing and acting. Young people will be familiar with learning dance choreography, remembering lines and song lyrics, and be confident to work more independently within the group.
Young people who are new to Performing Arts will start off in our Sparkle group, and our tutor team will be responsible for deciding how and when participants transition to the Shine session.
Our team of staff and facilitators are experienced in working with young people with SEND, poor mental health, and families facing challenging circumstances, and tailor their work to meet the needs of the people in the room. If you have any queries about your own or your young person’s ability to access an activity or event, please get in touch to discuss your needs.
