Call for young musicians to perform on Middlesbrough Town Hall stage

Back in June, Musinc successfully launched Young Producers,  which offers young people aged 16-25 the opportunity to create their own live or virtual music event.

After some initial group meetings, a tour of Middlesbrough Town Hall, a bit of jamming and conversations with our music leaders, the Young Producers have plans for a Halloween music festival.

The search is now on for acts to perform in the festival taking place at the Town Hall on Sunday 30th October.

Hosted by Middlesbrough Council and Musinc, the event will be a showcase for solo artists, bands and DJs aged 21 and under.

Musical Inclusion Manager Rebecca Johnson said:

“Our Young Producers group are teaming up with the Town Hall to put on a special music event to showcase the talents of Middlesbrough’s young people in October. It is an event created by young people, for young people, and they are looking for music acts of all kinds to perform. It’s a great chance for young acts to perform live on stage in front of an appreciative audience, and will be a real celebration of the amazing talent we have here in Middlesbrough.”

The music festival takes place at Middlesbrough Town Hall on Sunday 30th October, 3pm – 9pm.
