Choral Commission for Shine Festival 2023
Musinc and Middlesbrough Town Hall are searching for a composer to write a new piece of music for the Middlesbrough Town Hall (MTH) Community Choir, to be performed as part of the Shine Festival in 2023.
The Brief
This new work should be roughly 10 minutes in length and should reflect the communities and culture of Middlesbrough. We’d love for the work to be developed in collaboration with community groups, including the MTH Community Choir and children and young people from local schools.
Fees are negotiable, and will be discussed upon application. Delivery of the final score will be required by the end of January to allow time for the choir to rehearse.
How to Apply
Please send us your CV along with a proposal (no more than 500 words) detailing how you would approach the project and any previous experience working with community groups.
Applications should be sent to Samantha_spruce@middlesbrough.gov.uk.
Deadline for applications is 12 noon on Monday 24th October.
