A new look for Musinc

Musinc, which is the music engagement programme based at Middlesbrough Town Hall, has recently undergone a brand refresh, with a new logo, branding and website.
Musinc provides opportunities in Middlesbrough for people of all ages, backgrounds and circumstances to make music, connect with others and explore their musical identity.

The project was led by Musinc’s Marketing Coordinator Namita Vijayakumar, who alongside team members, kicked off the project by shaping a new mission, vision and values last year. The core values of Musinc are being Inclusive, Collaborative, Creative, Responsive and Determined, and a new aesthetic was created to match these commitments.

Namita Vijayakumar, Marketing Coordinator, who worked as the designer for the brand, said:
I wanted the visual side of the brand to be playful and colourful to represent the work that we do and the enjoyment that it brings. The main logo is a guitar shape with a sunburst motif to represent the positive power of music making.
Samantha Knight, Musinc Manager, commented:
We’re so excited to launch our new look! We believe music making should be fun and that everyone should be able to get involved – our new brand has been designed to reflect that. We want every person to feel welcome with Musinc!
Musinc’s programme remains the same – full of amazing events and weekly activities. 2025 is another huge year, with many free and affordable events such as a Community Orchestra day of workshops open to all abilities, performance opportunities such as Shine Festival for choirs and schools in Tees Valley and the North East, as well as live Classical Café performances for schools.
