Tuesdays, 7.15-8.30pm at Middlesbrough Town Hall, for ages 15-21, free to join

9th September 2025 – 3rd March 2026

Young Producers is a group for 15-21s who would like to develop their skills and experience in the music and events sector with guidance from industry experts.

Each week, you’ll meet with others as a group and take steps to plan a live event that YOU want to see.

You’ll get advice from specialists in the field, including marketers, technicians, and event organisers, on what it takes to make an event at Middlesbrough Town Hall a success.

In the past, Young Producers have coordinated and produced live music events such as Town Hall Takeover and Boro Sounds, where up-and-coming local bands and performers were invited to take to the stage.

Young Producers will gain skills in:

  • Event planning
  • Marketing
  • Budget management
  • Artist management

You will have:

  • The opportunity to collaboratively programme a live event
  • Access to a budget for project costs
  • Ongoing support from the Musinc team
  • Access to a network of industry professionals as well as peers
  • Careers support

How to join

You can book a free place on the Middlesbrough Town Hall website. For more information, please contact us on musinc@middlesbrough.gov.uk.

Financial support is available to support access needs.

Six local bands played in March, we had an audience of 167 people – my role was a sound technician, I loved it. At the end, I announced the winners, this is something I would never have had the confidence to do. Musinc enabled this for me, they gave me a chance to do what I love to do.
